For as long as I can remember, I have been playing the beautiful game and since the age of 16 I have been coaching it too! Growing up, major influencers for me were players like Ronaldinho and Zidane, so I’ve always loved slick football and a cool party trick. Skills are always fun to pull off both in matches and in front of friends so you can never have too many! I am an FA level 2 qualified football coach, beginning my coaching journey 8 years ago. I also have a qualification for delivering sports in schools, which I have been doing now for 3 years. It’s a wonderful feeling seeing someone perform something they never could do before, especially when you’ve put the time and effort in together to achieve it!
PERSONAL SPORTING HIGHLIGHT
19 years old, first year of university, first league game for the first team. The score is 0-0. A piece of tactical genius from the manager, taking off the first choice striker to bring me on with only 20 minutes to go. Closing minutes of the game, 1 on 1 with the keeper, a tidy, curled effort into the bottom corner to win the game! Final score 1-0.
